Melancholia Trailer

"Melancholia," looks like it is a sci-fi disaster drama about people being intense, dramatic and experiencing a lot of melancholy. A planet called Melancholia is heading straight towards Earth. Huh, huh? Where is Starfleet Command?! Different movie. Different targeted audience. Oh yes, this is supposed to be all psychological, and the director has one of those names that signals he's more into art than entertainment. The film stars Kirsten Dunst, Alexander Skarsgård, Charlotte Gainsbourg. Kiefer Sutherland is featured prominently in the trailer. Maybe as an enticement to the fans of his old TV show "24"? Maybe a few fans may hope that "Jack" from "24" will pull out a pistol and blast that planet to bits? Maybe not? The man (Kiefer Sutherland) is an actor for goodness sakes! And he is a good one at that, and this seems like a film for the art house crowd -- so no "Jack"? Maybe I'm wrong? I'm just judging from what I see. By the look of the trailer, this may be a sci-fi yawner But, oh, it's a drama, right?. The director of the flick is Lars von Trier. The scheduled release dare is Nov 11, 2011
